Just a quickie post on installing a VPN client plugin to KODI running on Ubuntu 18.04.
You can configure it to start the VPN when starting KODI or doing it a la carte.
Follow these simple steps to install and use VPN Manager for OpenVPN Add-on:
1 - Download zip file from this link:  hxxps://github.com/Zomboided/repository.zomboided.plugins/releases/tag/1.0.0
Personally here just download it on my laptop and SFTP it over to the KODI box.
2 - Next click Add-ons browser on KODI
  • In Add-ons browser, select “install from zip file” and then select the Zomboided Repository zip file
  • Let the repo install and display notification
3 - Next, click on “install from repository“, then select “zomboided Add-on repository”, then “Services” and finally “VPN for OpenVPN“.
4 - Install the add-on and you are done.
5 - To use VPN manager for OpenVPN add-on, go to add-ons >Program addons > VPN manager for OpenVPN.
NOTE: Kodi VPN Manager only works with OpenVPN protocols, so make sure that your VPN offers the OpenVPN protocols. FastestVPN offers various security protocols including OpenVPN and you can easily configure FastestVPN with a VPN manager for Kodi.
Googling VPN noticed mostly spam sites with best VPN deals.
Here is an interesting post relating to VPN services and use of said services.
