Well the rumors of my death have been greatly exhagerated. I am still using Now Playing in my home. Everything is working quite well and have not seen any reason to change things. I kinda get the impression that the DIYers for home automation have slowly moved on. Many of the friends I used to chat with daily online about our projects are busy with real life.
I do plan on downsizing my audio setup and will probably have a online yard sale after the first of the year. Just the wife and I in the house these days and my plan is to slim down my junk so we can move in a few years.

I'm still lurking arround John!
I'm still using my multizone audio system that I built after you inspiring me.
The only difference is I'm now on Homeseer and using my own jriver plugin that i developed for my personal use, it's not perfect but works well for my use.
The other thing I did is to build my own audio matrix switch using two soundblaster cards and the free kx drivers and it works like a charm.
