HAL

The Home Automated Living System (also referred to as HAL) has been around for a long time. Knwn for its voice interaction features, HAL also allows you to interface HVAC, Security Panels, Home Theater control and more. There are multiple versions of HAL, but you can find a comparison table here: http://www.automatedliving.com/products_features.shtml Unfortunately development has been pretty stagnant, with the latest version being released in March 2010 (which was a minr update).
