Keypad Plus v1.0.7 has been released and will be available as a free upgrade in the application store on Dec 30 2008.

This version is focused on increasing performance and user submitted bugs.

Specifically, this update provides fixes for:
- Inability to add zones to favorites screen
- Corrected indicator status for bypassed zones
- Improved panel query performance (almost a 4x increase in speed)
- Changed display to show more detailed armed status
- Added timer controls for lights and outputs (have the ELk automatically turn off items after a period of time).
- Miscellaneous Bug Fixes

This version also completes the enhancements necessary to support the upcoming v1.1 update.

Hi Jayson,

Compliments of the season to you.

Some feedback on 1.0.7

These comments are made with a remote VPN connection.

1. Still believe the color code for the zone status should mirror the ELKRM. Using your color code it now tracks the correct zone status only it is confusing as stated before.

2. Panel speed update speed has improved well done

3. my panel is armed and on the top of all three keypad pages it show "ready" top left not "armed" yet it confirms that it is the "armed away" with a red bar on page two

4. Nice interface on the timer! The lights work fine however the outputs you set the time a select the activate timer button the output will switch on but won't time out and switch off. you have to toggle the output off.

5. Lighting dimmer still not working properly....oops just remembered your working on a different way of sorting that one out

Your application definitely is getting there with improvements that are noticeable.

Hope this is of assistance.

Fleetz,

Thanks for the feedback.

1. The colors used for the zone status will gain a configuration item so users can choose to use my original color scheme or the ElkRM scheme. This will most likely make v1.1

2. Glad you like the speed increase.

3. I have not been able to replicate the armed status disconnect you are describing. I will need to look into why this may be happening.

4. I am experiencing the same with Outputs. There must be a bug there, I will need to look into this for the next update.

5. Yes, I have some additional dimmer controls that will be part of v1.1 so that when you add a light as a favorites, you can choose from several types of dimmer controls.

Jayson,
I was seeing the "ARMED" indicator not showing armed until the exit time expires. Normally, the armed indicator comes on as soon as the control is armed.

It is looking good!! Keep up the good work.

I like to show people how I control my house with my iPhone and watch their jaw drop!

Spanky,

That was by design. Originally, I did not show the armed light until the system was fully armed. I did not realize that it diverged from the behavior of the wired keypads until now.

I will put a fix in for the next update so that eKeypad matches the behavior of the wired keypads.

Hey Jayson,

Just did the update - I also agree - the speed is much better, and I was able to set up my favorites this time with Zones, etc. I don't wanna wake the wife playing with outputs right now, but it sounds like you guys have covered that all pretty well. The timer does look pretty slick.

one thing I still notice - when I tap favorites, it takes about 4 seconds to respond... if you get around to it, an hourglass there so you know it's working would take care of the perceived unresponsiveness - or just something so you know your tap registered. Doesn't really matter to me though since I know what it's doing.

Good job! You've come a long way in a pretty short time period. I'll definitely have to get my VPN up soon so I can start showing this off outside the house. I definitely didn't mind being an early adopter on here - glad to see the continued focus and support on this to keep making it better.
