I'm proud to announce the release of an update to the j9 Automation Engine software. This release introduces the Action List Editor, an easy to use point and click interface for creating actions in the rules editor and the touch screen control event editor. This is an alternative to using the advanced scripting language. New drivers have also been included. It is available for immediate download here.

Here is a list of the major enhancements: (A longer, more detailed list can be viewed here.)

Configuration
Added an easy to use point and click Action List Editor to the rules editor and the touch screen control event editor. This is an alternative to using the advanced scripting language. Individual devices can now be restarted from a new popup context menu in the Device List window.

Touch Screen Viewer
Touch screen creation is now easier with an the new Touch Screen Errors Viewer which is useful in debugging touch screen event problems while the the touchscreen is running.

New Device Drivers
Added a new HTTP Driver for retrieving web page content and posts data to web servers, and Quality Kits QK108 Serial Isolated Input/Output Module Driver. The Elk M1 Driver now detects and recovers from Elk M1 connection drops. Several drivers have also received minor fixes.

Screenshots
Visit the screenshots page to see the new Action List Editor. Look under the Rules section.

Thanks,
Johnny

Here's a screen shot of the action editor. In this case I have a rule named 'Armed Away' set up that runs when the alarm system is set to armed away. The action list for the rule turns off all the lights and pauses the squeezebox. The conditional action that checks if the squeeze box is already paused is really unnecessary but is there for demonstration purposes.
