What feature would you guys like to see the most? I am mostly interested in features which would attract more members to the site (or make current members happier), but I would like to see any ideas you might have. I am working on a few things, but the more input the better!

would love to have an option to select certain forums so their posts don't show up when i click "view new posts"

How about a direct brain download like in The Matrix? That way I wouldn't have to open my browser, search for messages and actually spend time reading. And the data I get would be 100%, so there would be no misreads. And make it voice activated so I can say 'Access CocoonTech' and then 'Read new posts'. Once you get that part put in then maybe you can add the automatic upload part where I can just think the reply I want to make and it goes TTT (Thought To Text).

I bet if you get this working it would dramatically cut down the time spent at the site but you will add a ton more users. Just don't forget to add the bidirectional Search feature where people could just think of what they are looking for and all relevant posts would automatically download via the TTB (Text To Brain).

Thanks for asking! ETA?

And don't forget the video chat while you're at it.

mobile device support.
+1

And I assume he means the same thing I do...full support. I know under "mobile" we can view everything, and the site runs quick. When I want to reply, I end up going to the full site...then it's very pokey.

Some forums/boards have a built-in feature that allow them gentle folks what have asked questions, to thank those other kind folks what have provided helpful answers. Tallies are kept and posted. See, for example www.smokstak.com

The feedbback helps to keep the proportion of high-value content up.

I think that might be a vBulletin only feature, but let me look into that. It does seem to be popular.

Make the From/Location field in the profile mandatory. We don't need their exact city & street, but many times answers could be better if we had SOME idea where somebody lived. Answers to some questions are totally different if the location is Michigan versus Florida versus Australia.
