Wow; how can there already be so many "refurbished" HPTouch pads out there considering they are relatively still pretty new?

Probably pretty easy, given it's short life. They released the HP Touchpad, standard users thought Wow! A tablet, and bought it. They then realized it does not have the apps available, and all the android / iOs stuff does not run on it. "You mean It cant do the same things as an iPad?!@??! They then packaged it up and returned it. All those returns have to go through a cleaning process...We have all heard the horror stories of purchasing a computer / tablet, giving it to the 12 year old, then they find porn or something on it. So,they are sent back to the factory to do this, AKA Refurbs.

Interesting. My neighbors purchased an IPad for the 8 year old daughter only to have it shatter on the floor. Guess the glass is breakable. They did try to return it to get a refund...they didn't get the refund..

I'm curious how fast they'll sell this time around. Funny I ordered like 3 from 3 BB's the last time around and received confirmation; just minutes before I went to pick them up; received an email that there were none in stock.

I ended up with one maybe a month later after a phone call from a BB in California. I never even thought though that I would get one.

I tried and never got a response to a click on the 'Buy It Now' or 'Add to Cart' buttons, so I gave up.

I heard numbers of HPTouchpads into the 10K range in like 10 minutes? The closest I got was reading about it.

I missed it as I was at a church event. By the time I remembered, it was about 30 minutes after the start and I couldn't get anything through the payment phase. Sorry to have missed it AGAIN!

i half heartedly tried but didn't get any. didn't really need more. apparently the secret was to go to ebay.ca or ebay.uk since ebay.com was unresponsive.

I started 5 minutes before time. At that time they were listed at $499. As soon as the minute changed I tried the Buy Now and tried to check out as guest. It sucked that it had to go through ebay to buy. I was suspended a few years ago for no reason that I could ever get out of them. Anyway my Buy as a guest never did go through so didn't get one again.

If any of you out there who has one and decided you arn't using it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands :nono:

Just an FYI for those who got one of the tablets, and have Android installed.

Google is running a number of their best Android App's for only .10 for the next 3 days, to celebrate 10 Billion app downloads.

The HD Christmas Live Wallpaper is NICE! Can customize the stocking, photo on the mantle and about 100 other things.
