It seems that the 1-wire patent by Dallas/Maxim has expired at November 5th, 2010.
Does anyone know about any manufacturers that actually are producing/selling 1-wire products since then which was prohibited earlier by the patent?
Specifically the DS2409 is a component which is near essential to create access-control doors, but which is close to EOL from Maxim; any sane alternatives from other manufacturers?
