Some of the people involved with Motorola and Premise are considering open-sourcing the popular Windows based home automation application. While Premise was discontinued, it has been pretty popular (with the Premise community hosted right here on CocoonTech), thanks to some hardcore supporters which managed to add support for modern technologies such as Z-Wave. Open-sourcing this application would be a huge win for the DIY community (and maybe even the professionals interested in deploying custom solutions), and this is your chance to help make it happen.

Check out this forum thread, started by one of the Premise founders, which has more information. Please take a moment to share your support for this idea, the more people make their voices heard, the better the chances are that this will happen.
