I am building a controller for our solar/wood boiler combi system. I have four flow sensors with pulse frequency output. I need to be able to read the frequency in order to calculate the gallons per minute flow. Does the Hobby Boards anemometer controller board output an actual hz reading or only a running pulse count that must be compared to the loop time of the device to come up with a hz reading? If it is a running pulse count, is the time period for the reading updates an even 1 second?
How is the output made available to software? I would be using them with Embedded Data Systems OW-Server Enet.
Any explanation of how the counter works would be helpful.
