Hi there,
I am taking a shot on writing an Elk rule which listens for ASCII input via the Elk ethernet interface on the serial port.
My first stumbling block is in entering the ASCII string to be matched.
Using the rule editor I
select the
Whenever -> Text String is Recieved
option
A dialog box pops up with a pull down.
The pull down is apparently asking you to select a text to match against.
However I can't enter a text.
What concept am I missing?

I am missing the idea that I have to enter the text to be matched in the little area named "Texts." ( arg )
