Hi guys,

I've been using the ekeypad pro app for some time now but I'm having issues and not sure how to get this working. I don't seem see all the programming that was done on it initially. My problem now is that I don't remember how I configured it and been spending some time to foul around with it but no success. It's telling me something along the lines that it's not getting authenticated.

Can someone help me out? Anywhere I can find a step by step instructions got this?

Also when it asks for the network name is that what I use for my DYN account?

pitbull, please post only once per topic, DARLING!  (I couldn't resist) ;)

Do you have the latest version?  I remember some recent posts where there were some troubles in past versions.

I don't use this product, but I would imagine you would use the DYN name account.  I would first get it working with your WAN IP address:port first though (one step at a time).

Thanks brave. I notice I posted one in the wrong area should have deleted the post before posting in a new forum. Thanks and my apologies. Yes I have the new version

I've done some writeups on this...

The first thing to note that's VERY important - some routers won't let you connect to your WAN IP from on your network - so it's quite possible it would work if you turned off wifi and went on cellular only IF you did everything right.

Steps - 1) get it working via the XEP's actual IP address on-net - that'll let you get port/credentials correct - THEN try going off-net - first by IP address - if that works, then change to your Dynamic DNS name.

You do need an outside port forwarded to the secure port of the M1.  I use the same port inside and outside of my network, and it's NOT the default.  That makes setup/troubleshooting easier.

Im so lost. All worked find until the latest update. :angry2:

Im able to connect using the M1EXP but not the ekeypad pro app. When I go in the configuration section of the app I insert the IP address same as indicated in the main page of the M1EXP setup with secure port 2601 but it wont connect. How can I resolve this

When you do this, are you 'inside' or 'outside' of your firewall/router (i.e. at/inside your home or away).  Are you connecting via an IP such as 192.168.1..xx?  What is the IP of your phone while you are trying this (is it connected via wireless to your firewall/router)?

I don't have an IPhone, but in Andorid it's in settings, then 'about phone'.  Hopefully you have something similar.

In the Elk the IP is in the XEP settings in the Elk RP software.

I guess I'm a bit surprised that you don't know the Elk's XEP IP since I would think that is a minimum setting to get ekeypad to work (but again, I don't use this software and it might have an 'autodiscover' option that I don't know about).

Just wanted to make sure since im new. I did have the M1 IP from the setting on the XEP. It does not start with 192.168. But its the address I get when I hit find.Last time when I did the set up I didnt use my phone ip address but I have a WI address in the About section.I also have something called modem firmware but i dont think thats it
