Need on-site help with HAI install, S.F. bay area

Hi -

I need to hire someone to help complete an install.  Can someone help me find the right person?

I just sold my house in Half Moon Bay, CA, to someone who is moderately technical.  I built the house a little over 10 years ago; it had x-10 switches and an HAI OmniPro II plus two expansion cabinets.

I replaced all the switches with UPB; that's all working beautifully.  So the lights are all fine / working with their own management system, and are not an urgent thing to address.

I had the OmniPro II boards replaced; the wiring was theoretically done exactly the same so the window and door locations should be still good, but the person doing the install knew nothing about the system so he can't do any configuration at all.  I imported the definitions and programming from the old system but didn't have time to figure out how to complete the config, and to tie the old def's to the new brain.

I no longer live in the area.  While I am relatively technical it will be impossible for me to address this from 10 hours away with no manual and no physical access to the site.

Is there someone I can hire to finish the basic configuration of the system - it's asking for a code to disarm the system on the basic panel, asking for a controller address, port, encryption keys.  I don't have the manual with me, as noted above.  Just need the basics done - complete the base configuration, get it to stop continually beeping when it's on, get the doors and windows to line up with their descriptions.  The new owner may then wish to go further with the work.

I've posed the question at Leviton also.

Hometech in Cupertino is closed :-(

Thanks, all!

I'd contact HAI for a list of installers in the area. It's basically a takeover job. Will the new owner pay $40/month?

It is assumed here that you had the OPII boards replaced with what?

If it is another OPII board then....

If you can do or get someone to do a basic via keyboard IP configuration and internet configuration the the system can be programmed remotely.

The alarm keypad stuff is a simple step by step; press this and that.  Internet access / firewall configuration can also be an easy step by step.

I am in the midwest here and could provide remote support talking to a person following some basic steps with a basic knowledge base.  I have done this before.

Actually any Leviton OPII support / installer could do this remotely.  .  It is easy once the OPII panel talk to the internet.

As mentioned above calling the Leviton HAI division should also provide you will some local support. (local Leviton / OPII alarm installation company).

Thanks, Cocoonut, Pete - I did also contact Leviton and they gave us a contact name, who is now trying to schedule a site visit with the new owner.  I figured the next steps had to be pretty simple, but while the new owner believes himself fairly technical and I think he's pretty bright, with the move and everything there's just too much going on.

Pete, yes, apologies - it was OPII to OPII, straight replacement.

Cocoonut, the $40/month would be for ... ?  Security monitoring?

You can go even more reasonable in cost paying by the year for say Next Alarm with included paging emails and central station monitoring if you configure the Alarm panel for the service in a DIY fashion.  Takes a few minutes of configuration then validation by whatever company you choose.

Yup basically if you have left everything in place (lighting etc); then really its just dropping in your old configuration into the firmware of the new OmniPro II panel and changing the passwords, changing the IP and configuration of the firewall.  Less than 1 hour should do it with an experience Leviton OPII technician.  Should it be done from scratch it will probably take a bit longer.
