Recommendation for serial controlled FM tuner

My Nuvo dual zone tuner just died for the second time.  Before I get ready to ship it off to Nuvo (again) I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a serial controlled FM tuner that I might replace it with?  I only need one zone.  Thanks.

You can DIY one if you want or purchase a second Nuvu Tuner used on Ebay?

If you can do USB, I use this cable: http://www.mo-co-so.com/HD-Radio-to-PC-Interface-p/mcs-mjs-hdr.htm with a Visteon HD Radio with excellent results in my (non-Nuvo) setup...

Just be sure to use a 3.3v Arduino. The standard ones are 5v. You could use a voltage divider, but using the right Arduino would be simpler. Sparkfun is a very reliable company that makes very reliable PCB breakouts. With this solution you could even customize the commands.
