Premise ZeroMQ

I ran across ZeroMQ (ZeroMQ.org) last week while getting educated on publish-subscribe methods. While digging into it, I thought this may be a great way for solving the long polling issues discussed in these forums. Events get published (light is now on) with clients subscribing (let me know when lights turn on). It has a number of languages it supports - but I think it takes someone with more brains than I to make it work. Any takers?

That looks interesting, but time consuming.  I was looking to do the same with node.js.

That's one of the reasons I wrote the web services service. It has the ability to SOAP based subscriptions like you described.
