Move Frontpoint hardware to different monitoring company?

I'm buying a second home that has a Frontpoint wireless security system.  Frontpoint appears to use the GE Simon XT.  Does anyone know if it is possible to use the Frontpoint equipment with a different monitoring company?  The rates for Frontpoint monitoring are very expensive (on the order of $40-50/mo).

Alternatively, does anyone know if the wireless sensors from the Frontpoint system can be used with an Elk M1?  I have an Elk M1 system in my primary home (all hard wired) and I wouldn't mind switching to an Elk panel with a wireless module and internet monitoring at our second house, if it doesn't mean buying all new sensors.

Look like all GE devices, and I don't think GE/ITI has done "branded" in years (basically they changed the frequency of the chip for some OEM units).

Yeah, I did a little more research and it looks like the GE sensors used in the Simon XT system are either crystal or saw and would therefore work with the Elk GE wireless module.

How about using the hardware with a different monitoring company?  Does anyone know if Frontpoint locks things down, or will they give me the installer code so I can reprogram the system for a different monitoring company?
