Hi Guys! I have the NX-8E home security system. Im looking into getting the internet module. Just would like to know if it would work or not. Also the Wireless keypad, would that work? We wanted to place it upstairs in the hall so it was easy to access.  Thanks!

Heres the links

Both the NX-590E and NX-1820E are compatible with the NX-8E.

Just to be sure that you understand... the NX-1820E needs to be wired to the NX-8E data bus. It does not give you a way to add another keypad wirelessly, without running wires back to the panel.

Alright thanks! The NX-590E, that lets me use my phone to control it right? Thanks!!

I am not an expert on the Networx system, although I did dig into them quite a bit before deciding to go with an Elk for my own home.

The NX-590NE (replacement for the 590E), provides an internet connection that allows the alarm panel to communicate with a central station, and to send e-mails to configured e-mail addresses. It also provides a web server interface that looks like it will allow you to control the alarm panel via the web.  Documentation on that web server is difficult to find.

If you want to control the system via a web browser on your smartphone, you should be able to do so.  By if you mean control it via a phone call, no, the 590NE doesn't do that.
