Hardwired lighting systems for Elk

I am planning my automation system and had planned on using RadioRa for my lighting but was advised in another thread that in my case a wired system is probably better and cheaper. However, every hard wired lighting system that was mentioned in that thread (Lutron Homeworks, Leviton OmniBus and Centralite Elegance) will not work with Elk.

Is there a comparable system that will work with Elk?

Do or Do Not.  There is no try.  Those are two HA controller systmes I've never heard of.

Universal Devices ISY994i works very well with ELK and visa versa.  Plus you can choose between different protocols, Insteon, Z-Wave or Zigbee.

Do you code?

We have our hard-wired Vantage system integrated with our Elk system, but it's done by a mess of code running on a unix box. and when I write 'mess' I mean it ;)

I do code. But i don't know how to code for HA yet. I expect to have to learn but I'll assume the spaghetti code is your doing rather than an inherent problem with integrating lighting with Elk.

not so much classic speghetti as multiple event-driven processes chatting over my own message bus.

I always scratch my head for a few when I get back into it.
