M1Gold: terminating voice dialling

I am setting-up and testing my M1 Gold and have 2 questions regarding dialling and voice messages:
 
1. It is successfully dialling my phone number on an alarm event using Burglary Message 1. This includes the message to use the "pound key" to finish.  I press the "#" key on my iPhone repeatedly but it doesn't seem to be recognised and the call continues - and then re-dials, and then calls the backup number.
 
How do I stop it keeping-on calling ?
 
2. If the alarm was an accidental event, but the dialling starts - how can you force it to drop the call and terminating the dialling sequence when the alarm is cancelled by disarming the system?

Change the tone length on your cell phone.
 
I would set a dialer delay at a minimal value to alleviate part of this. Otherwise the only way to get it to stop dialing would be disarming the system while it was still generating the DTMF tones.
