Omnitouch 7 goes dead after hook up

I moved from one house to another and re-established my system in the new house.   Everything was working fine but after an overnight, my Omnitouch 7 went dead and haven't been able to get it working.    The green light still is on, but the touchscreen itself remains off and can't seem to get it to come on.   I've tried resetting it but nothing works.

It did work when I had set it up but a mere several hours later it stopped.

I've tried unplugging it, reseting it, etc.   It no longer appears on my network either (The IP does not ping).

Anything I can try?

I do not have any Omnitouch 7 touchscreens today.

Try removing the power to it, waiting a bit then plugging it back in. (guesstimate)

My Omnitouch 5.7e's will lock up if I temporarily remove the network connection from them.

It is a PITA to do this but I only disconnect the network from them when I am tinkering.  The Omnitouch 5.7's never lock up but their transport  is different.

I tried that and no luck.   The screen flashes white, then goes blank again - never seems to boot up.    Once it's plugged in again, the green light stays on but the screen itself is black and not responding.

Well then you might be having an issue with the hardware.

Take the Omnitouch Pro screen out and test it on a workbench which concurrently...

Check you network cabling (and POE) and that the connection at the touchscreen can get to the mothership.

Then while on the workbench (with a network connection to the mothership) if it still does the same then call in to Leviton technical support and do whatever they tell you relating to diagnostics.

Unrelated to the Omnitouch 7 / Android OS.

BTW with the Omnitouch 5.7e; its disconnecting the mothership at the NIC port on the OPII than turns the screen to one color.  If I reconnect it stays like that until I poe power off the Omnitouch 5.7e.

Relating to just transport (first) mostly you want to check that POE CatXX connection from the wall to the POE switch and concurrently work bench test the Omnitouch 7 such that if need be you can send it in for repairs.

Been fooling with it and think I have it narrowed down.    I completely backed out of the install and deleted the O7 from the system, then added it back in - everything worked.    When I go to update the O7 with v1.8 it starts to download in PCA, then the download dies.   At that time, the O7 locks up and is unusable.   I've repeated this several times so know for sure it's the update of v1.8 that is causing this.

Any tricks to get this update working?

That's the same issue when using the intercom feature of 1.8 - screen blanks after showing the intercom feature has locked up.  Does the same thing happen when you load firmware version 1.7?

Like was suggested, you should probably contact Leviton Support.
