What do you recommend for OPII Lighting Control?

What is everyone using for lighting Automation with the OPII?  I've heard a lot of great things about RadioRA2 (other than the cost).  How's HAI's lighting controls?

I have X10, Z-Wave and UPB PIMs connected to my OPII.

I am primarily utilizing UPB today for all of my automated wall switches.  It works for me and I do not pay attention to it anymore.

I am currently utilizing X10 for all of my Christmas decorations outside and inside of the home.  One house code turns all of the lights on at the same time.  No fuss and very quick to set up.

I do look and play with much of the new stuff but do not use it in production in my little sandbox home mostly because automation is a hobby for me. (Zigbee is in the mix too today of playing).

You have many options available for lighting control with the OmniPro 2 panel.  Radio RA2 is one of many options.

HAI lighting integrates well with the OPII panel.

Out of what you have used, which is the most and/or least reliable?

I fixed my X-10 reliability going to XTB stuff in the last 15 years.  The OPII panel is connected to a dual phased TW-523 XTB PIM.

I have an XTB original X10 amplifier used with a CM11a.  X10 works 100%  I depend on it now for my Christmas lighting.

I upgraded my UPB stuff using a UPB repeater between the two phases of my home.  I utilize PCS, HAI and SA UPB swtiches.  My UPB switches are all in metal boxes as electric here is all metal conduit and boxes.
It is 100% dependable these days.

I have left the Leviton Z-Wave PIM is adjacent to the fuse panel and metal conduit in the basement and it has always worked just fine.  There are only light modules installed on the Z-Wave network. It is a small Z-Wave network and does work 100% of the time. Note I am mixing my Z-Wave networks and have 4 other Z-Wave networks in place today.

BTW the three Zigbee automation controllers are also in the basement and work fine with ZIgbee devices up the 2nd and main floor of the house.

I do personally prefer the wire (sure bet of automation transport) versus wireless or wireless hybrid stuff.  (kind of a bandaid mickey fix thing).  Well too like having to use wireless repeaters for automation stuff; sort of a joke to me.

I've been using HLC, which is Leviton's UPB implementation with the Omni Pro II and it works well.  Its UPB with a Leviton boost.  If you follow the rules in setting it up, you end up with a really nice system, one I think is better than what you can design yourself.

It basically works with added "Room Controllers" and "House Controllers" which you install in addition to normal UPB switches.  The Room Controller has All On, All Off, and 4 custom scenes for that room.  The Omni tracks the status of switches controlled this way which normally doesn't happen with UPB.

So now in each room you are selecting a lighting "scene" instead of running around controlling each switch dim level.  You can still control any switch manually if you like also.

House controllers can control 8 rooms from one panel, and is nice so at a glance you can see which rooms have lights on.  Overall, it produces a very professional lighting solution, rather than what UPB produces which is just a technology.

The Omni works well with HLC. With any other technology your on your own creating a System, although the Omni can certainly control the technology.

Even better my wife likes it and its easy to use and program.
