So last night I was able to connect my serial adapters to my nuvo and to the panel. The nuvo is about 60 feet from the omnipro 2. here is what I did
For the pinout on the serial adapter I followed the same pin as the 36A03
Then the RJ45 serial adapter connects to the standard cat 5 line going across the house to the omni pro 2
at the omni pro 2 the ethernet meets another RJ45 , then a null F/F adapter then the 36A04 with the line going to serial port 5.
I have not changed any baud rate or anything else . I got nothing from this. no inclination the the system even sees the nuvo. What am I doing wrong?
