Hairs Outdoor KeyPad and Leviton Door Station

First of all, I bet that headline caught your attention. I am about ready to turn off this automatic spell checker and thing that thinks it knows what you are going to say. Unfortunately, I can't see where you edit the headline but it was suppose to say "HAI's"!

Anyway, after about 8 years, I am going to go through a small upgrade to my system. Currently I have the HAI Outdoor Keypad, a magnetic lock and one ethernet cable going to that spot. Does anyone know if I am out of luck if I want to add Leviton's INDSI-00S Door Station which has video and audio. Just wondering if I have enough wires to that location as getting more is pretty much out of the question.

I notice it also requires a SIP Server which now means my system goes from stand-alone, to one that requires an attached computer running at all times, correct? That is some what difficult in South Florida with all our quick power outages.

Thanks for any input anyone may offer.

I think you will be fine with the cabling that you have in place. Manual states:

DESCRIPTION

The INDS1-00S Leviton ® Intercom Door Station with Camera is a PoE (Power over Ethernet)
device that allows streaming audio and video communications with other SIP compliant devices,
such as Leviton OmniTouch 7TM touchscreens. It features a configurable relay that can be used
to control a gate or an electric lock.

WIRING REQUIREMENTS for INDS1-00S

The INDS1-00S is an IEEE 802.3af compliant Power over Ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD).
The INDS1-00S receives its power over the same cable that connects the INDS1-00S to the
network, using a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device, such as a PoE network switch,
hub, or power injector which provides the power. Each INDS1-00S must be installed within 100
meters (328 feet) of a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device.

The INDS1-00S connects to a DHCP enabled network using a Cat-5 (4-pair) cable. Run the Cat-5
cable between the location of a PoE network switch, hub, or power injector and the location of the
INDS1-00S.

The maximum distance between the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) device and the INDS1-00S
and is 100 meters (328 feet). Terminate both ends of the Cat-5 cable with 8-position modular
connectors to make a standard straight through network patch cable.

When switching voltage through the relay in the INDS1-00S, run a separate power cable from
a power supply to the INDS1-00S and a control cable from the relay on the INDS1-00S to an
electric lock or gate controller.

Relating to the SIP server found this.  Mostly see that it'll work with any 3rd party SIP server.

SIP Server

The following instructions are a general overview for configuring a SIP server:
  1. Set up the SIP server on the local network. A static IP address must be used.
  2. Create extensions for every touchscreen and door station.
    • Each extension requires a username and password. Any password may be used for each device, but they can all use the same password for simplicity.

    • Be sure that each extension has H.264 video support enabled.
  3. Create a ring group extension for all of the touchscreen extensions. This extension will be used by the door station(s).
Create a paging group extension for all of the touchscreen extensions. This extension will be used to page all touchscreens from one of the touchscreens.

Just put it on a UPS.

Always have had issues with electricity in FL on the Gulf Coast.  It is better today than 30 years ago. (IE centralized surge protection at the ingress of your electrical meter and good grounding helps).  I enjoy watching the weather.
