Cleaning up a bit here found a programming booklet to my Excalibur Alarm panel circa 1980's.

This panel had text to speech and X10 stuff.  It was programmed pressing buttons on the panel with LED light feedback per command line configuration.

The TTS was bits of words that you had to put together to make sentences at the time.

I used this panel from late 1980's to early early 2000's when I moved.   It only utilized keypads.  No touchscreens.

@Del,

Is the panel recognizable to you?

It was a PITA to program. Each zone was programmable with a few words / sentences syllable by syllable.

Thinking it was a very small company and each board was hand built.  Thinking I had to wait about a month for the board after I ordered it.

Noticed too another name with the Excalibur referring to Knight Patrol.

It looks similar to the old Northern Computers panels (N-1000's and the like) but that's basically a small computer anyways and programming those back in the pre-windows days was a nightmare anyways. Amazing how far access control and security has come since the first/second gen devices.
