Elk M1 / Hai Omnistat 2 woes...

Hi There,
 
Looking for some help with some communication issues between HAI Omnistat 2 and Elk M1 controller:
 
Seems that the Controller can send commands to the tstat successfully, but the ELK cannot be programmed to "do" anything based on information from the stat (such as a rule WHEN TSTAT.... THEN...
 
Also, Controller app on iPhone does not see temp reading from the tstat (assuming this is part of same problem)
