SP12F and ELk-73

Can I connect a SP12F and a Elk-73 to the m1 OUT 1? I know it has to be within 4-8ohms, just trying to figure out this without adding more speakers. What if I wanted to just install one or 2 SP12F.

The 2 in parallel are 6.4 Ohms, so within the tolerance, but the SP12F is going to be significantly quieter than the 73.

Thanks Del. I should've known this and ran thru the math on parallel circuit. Do you know how the SP12F compares to the 73 in db (loudness).

You need to remember the rule of 10's when it comes to loudness.

I don't know how many watts the M1 puts out, but in order to be 2X as loud, you need 10X the wattage. IE: 1W, to be 2X as loud, you need 10W. Apparent volume is a different discussion.

I've put in jobs with SP12F's, but I put in 4 to balance the load down to 8 ohms typically, then work the values from there (# vs. seen impedence).
