So I've just redone my Elk system to eliminate some issues I had with termination and bus wiring. Those problems all seem to be behind me now. But something new has popped up and I hope there's an easy answer for this.
I have 6 areas, 8 keypads, 16 hardwired zones + 16 more through an M1XIN, 3 M1XRFEG wireless receivers and 16 wireless zones as well as an M1RB relay board.
I'm running ElkRP 2.0.34 with M1 firmware 5.3.1
My 6 areas are fine. This is the process I'm going through and what's breaking.
Open RP, select account, connect via network
Go to areas, right click area and select new area
I add one area - area 7 - I've tried custom values or copying an existing area - it makes no difference.
I don't have to hit 'send to control' as this happens automatically.
Area 7 shows up in my list of areas.
I now hit send/receive/check for conflicts and I have a conflict - area 7 exists in db but not in system
I select area 7 and hit send to system
I check for conflicts again and still have the same conflict - area 7 exists in db but not in system
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
mark
[edit] I found the problem - there was no keypad assigned to the zone. I assigned one and it's all good now
