I have 2 questions on wiring a KPNAV with cat5 to a M1DBH.
1) is the below wiring diagram correct?
2) where do I place the EOL resistor?

Thanks for any help.

Cat5           M1KPNAV
brown -------- red
white/brown -- black
orange ------- green
green -------- green
white/orange - white
white/green -- white
blue --------- not used
white/blue --- not used

1. You've got the wiring for the Cat5 correct.

2. Do you mean the EOL resistor for the KPNAV zone input?  That would be placed wherever the contact you are connecting is located.

If instead you mean the RS485 termination jumper, you should not install a jumper on J1 of the KPNAV.  Since you are connecting it to a DBH, the DBH should have a termination plug installed in the first unused jack.  If you have 2 data bus branches connected to the M1 data bus, then a jumper goes on the end of the second branch.  Or, if the DBH is the only branch connected to the M1, then install a jumper on JP3 on the M1.

Thanks for the help. I was referring to the EOL resistor for keypad zone input. I did not realize this resistor was for optional input. I don’t intend on wiring any contacts to the keypad. Thanks again.
