EZEye Smartenit1011A Light Sensor installation in OMNI IIe

Hi all,

I'm installing an outdoor light sensor to my OMNI IIe Panel.
   There are 3 inputs:
  1. +12V
  2. GND
  3. Digital
The instructions say to install the Digital input into the Zone Negative input and connect a jumper from the +12V to the same Zone Positive input.

Before connecting up the jumper, I'd like to confirm this will not damage my OMNI Panel.

   Thoughts?

Thanks,
  Randy

The OPII uses 5V zones, not 12v.  If it was me, It hook it to a 12V relay (Leviton sells these for the OPII) then hook the contacts to a zone, using a EOL resistor if required. I especially recommend this if the outdoor light sensor is really outdoors. In other-words, lightning could strike it.  You might be able to jury-rig it it to work, but I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you use EOL resistors with your panel.

Thanks @ano and @DELInstallations! I've ordered the Leviton 4 relay module. Will report back on results. Thanks -- Randy

Hi All,

Just received my Leviton 4 relay module.
Can someone please confirm the wiring?
  My guess:
  1. J1 to Earth GND on OMNI Panel
  2. T1 to EZEye White wire (Digital Output)
  3. T2 to EZEye Green wire (+12V)
  4. Relay 1 NO to OMNI Zone "-" input
  5. Relay 2 NO to OMNI Zone "+" input
  Correct?

Thanks,
  Randy
