Elk M1 remote reboot

Hello.. Has anyone come up with a method to remotely reboot an M1?  I suppose I could interrupt battery and AC power using a timer relay connected to an output, but I was hoping for something more simple. tai

In the 10 years I've run my M1's, I've never had a reason to reboot them.  The Ethernet interface on the other hand, yes - and Elk published a tech note on how to automate this.  May we ask the reason?  That said, I think total power interruption is about the only way to go.
