Help with designing a video surveillance system/ alarm system

Greetings,

Some of you will be getting tires of hearing from my Medellin home.

Living in or around Medellin, Colombia means proper home security is a must (Narcos is a fantastic exaggeration though).

We are building a 4000sqf+ home on about two hillside acres. The home is U shaped, with lots of nooks and crannies.

I'm looking for someone who can have a look at the floorplan and give me a general idea on what I would need... I can provide a PDF or DWG of the layout...

I will leave that to others, but I will tell you experience, also living in a hot environment, that cooling a U shaped home is a big challenge, at least when it comes to keeping even temperatures throughout.   Don't neglect the AC placement and zoning, or you will have many hot and cool areas. Place the AC units toward the south side if you can, and if its forced air, keep the ducts are large as possible.
