Output Type Questions

The OPII manual isn't exactly clear on how output types work so a few questions please.

When an output is changed to EXT SNDR or EXT BURG SNDR or EXT FIRE SNDR does that output then behave as it would if the sounder was connected directly to the HORN output? Or do I need to write a WHEN ALARM instruction to enable it?

And, what is the difference between these three output types?

What would I use for a programmatically controlled output if I want it to behave exactly like the built in Ext HORN output.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I guess the EXT FIRE SNDR changes the sound pattern, but what does EXT BURG SNDR do?

For future reference, I'm partially answering my own question now after having an aha moment from information in the two manuals.

If a general purpose output is set to EXT SNDR or INT SNDR it will operate with the horn outputs in all areas ("global" in HAI language).

If it's set to one of the non-global EXT/INT SNDR codes documented in the owners manual table on page 35 it will operate independently as a sounder in it's assigned area only.
