Controlling Samsung NU8000 TV

I recently installed a Samsung NU8000 TV.  I created a smartthings account and the TV is registered to it.  I can log onto smarthings and under devices it lists my tv and I can see the latest events from the tv (on/off/etc...).

Is there any way to control this with HomeSeer via a script or do I have to get a Smarthings hub ($65)?

If I did wind up getting a hub, can both my HomeSeer Z-Troller and the Smartthings hub have access to my z-wave devices?

One old way modernized is using Samsung python application (and websockets).  samsungctl

You can also take this to mqtt.

I was able to do this sending the Homeseer ZWave configuration over to the Smartthings hub. (and Leviton VRCOP) using the HS3 ZWave command send info to another controller.

Only problem is that if you send a command out from Homeseer to a ZWave device or a command out via Smartthings hub you will not see the status change on the device from the non utilized controller.

Thanks Pete:   Found this on samsungcti:   https://pypi.org/project/samsungctl/   If I get a Samsung Hub can i have both the Z-Troller AND the Samsung hub control my Z-wave lighting?  I want the Smartthings hub only to control the TV via Alexa and maybe say, 'Alexa TV Mode' so it turns on the tv, dims the lights, etc...

Yes.

The only gotchas are mentioned above.  I have been doing this since the beginning of the Samsung Smartthings Hub.

A Homeseer user has created a mechanism to control the Samsung Hub via Homeseer.  He posted his methodology a couple of days ago.

It is what he is doing and he has not made it a HS3 plugin.

Just log in to Homeseer / ZWave controller and put it in send mode.  Put the Samsung Hub in receive mode and it will get all of the Homeseer 3 ZWave devices.

I did the same with the OmniPro 2 ZWave VRCOP a few years back.
