Linking IP Switches

One of the most useful features of automated switches is the ability to link them together so that they act in unison (virtual 3-way configuration) for places that are not wired for 3-way or where you want ceiling fixtures and plug-in lamps to work together off a single switch. This feature is taken for granted in technologies like Insteon and Z-Wave but with the rise in popularity of IP switches I am trying to determine if they are a viable alternative to those the older protocols. Problem is the descriptions of products by Wemo, TP-Link and similar are pretty short on details so I can't confirm if they can be linked together or not. Can anybody who uses these devices confirm if they can be linked together to operate in unison?

Well, I wouldn't trust a Wemo switch to work AT ALL, let alone as part of any sort of N-way setup, so....

I use 24 wifi rgbww bulbs and can turn them all on without much noticeable popcorn effect.
You would have to look very hard to see it but I use various techniques like turning on every second unit and opening sockets to them all before turning them full on etc..

This is being done from my ISY control via rpi python coding though.
