Omnipro II not connecting to new router

I installed a new router and can no longer connect to the console using HAI PC Access software. Any suggestions?

Look at your old router LAN configuration and configure the new router LAN with the same subnet and DHCP scope.

Also look at the firewall rules you had set up on the old router and configure the new router with the same set of rules.

What MFG model router did you use before and what is the new router MFG and model.

The Omnipro 2 panel does not utilize a DHCP client and you will have to configure the OmniPro IP manually to your new router's IP LAN subnet

or

even easier would be to configure the new router the same as your old router.

Thank you Cocoonut. I changed the LAN IP address to the same as the old router so the DHCP scope automatically changed to the old settings. That did the trick!

Hello,
I found this topic while searching for a resolution to a problem I am having that meets the description provide by jnachbar. I was encouraged to hear that he solved his problem using your advice.
I read your instructions and found that I am set up as you instructed. I am experiencing a no show of the OMNIPRO on my new ASUS router. Meaning specifically that it does not show up as a registered device on the network.
My new router matches the DHCP scope and subnet of the old router. I have also assigned a static IP lease to the MAC address of the OMNIPRO  (192.168.1.195)
When I reconnect my OLD router, the OMNIPRO  shows up fine.
ASUS zenwifi AX6600 is my new router
Ubiquity AMPLIFY is my old router

Any help would be appreciated
Thank you

You have to create an IP address on the OmniPro device that resides on your network and not in the DHCP scope.

The OmniPro device does not do DHCP.   The OmniPro does not need DHCP anyhow.  You don't ever configure a gateway address on the OmniPro device.

IE: it does not need to be seen by your router for it to work.

Most likely you will not see the device on your router and you have to add it manually using the MAC address that you get from doing arp.
Looking at my router (PFSense) there is no capability to add a non DHCP client to it.

IE:  Doing this in a linux command line and it is the same for any OS.
1 - First ping the HAI interface

HAI:~# ping 192.168.1.2
PING 192.168.1.2 (192.168.1.2): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.1.2: seq=0 ttl=64 time=3.060 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.2: seq=1 ttl=64 time=3.140 ms

2 - then arp the IP addressHAI:~# arp 192.168.1.2
IP address       HW type     Flags       HW address            Mask     Device
192.168.244.170  0x1         0x2         08:00:27:b6:7e:26     *        eth0.2
192.168.1.2      0x1         0x2         00:07:88:00:33:66     *        br-lan

3 - you can also do nmap to see the address.

nmap -sP 192.168.1.1/24
Starting Nmap 7.70 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2022-03-15 05:56 CDT
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.2
Host is up (0.0083s latency).
MAC Address: 00:07:88:00:33:66 (Clipcomm)
Nmap scan report for ICS-HAI.lan (192.168.1.1)
Host is up.

If you utilize open ports for external HAI OmniPro use you just put in the IP of your device and port in the firewall configuration.

Thank you!
As it turns out, the OMNIPRO was there the whole time, your tip on the device NOT needing to be a listed device on the router along with suggestion to ping the device confirmed its existence! I also learned how to see the IP address that was set on the controller by using the wall keypad which turns out was the correct one I was using. Finished setting up the port forwarding and it works great!

I have never had direct access to the OMNIPRO, the dealer is out of business, along with the board being discontinued. Is there a way to obtain a copy of the PC Access software?
