Looking for help... in San Diego, CA area

I was installing a system for a friend in the San Diego area, but some personal issues have come up and I have not been able to give him the help, nor time he deserves.

If anyone is in this area, and has some experience I would really appreciate the help.

This is completely a non-professional, and for insurance reasons non-paid job, although I am sure there will be some sort of unofficial compensation.

I started this system with an unlimited budget over a year ago, installed a server, rack and the base system running Windows and HomeSeer, and recently installed a few UPB devices, but recently his server died/crashed and I have been unable to get it back up and running remotely. I will give more details if I find someone interested. I was looking at using his house as my showcase to break into this business.

I plan on contacting a local server repair firm to get his system back online, but I still need a local automation person to help configure and do routine maintenance on his system. IE I have a few more UPB switches to install.

Please contact me offline/email if you need more information or if you are interested. (please no PM)

I am sorry if this sounds a bit vague..

thanks,

man, it looks like there are a lot of HA jobs in CA, guess it's time to move. You might want to PM pkoslow, he is in CA and has some contacts there. Not sure if he will find this thread, so definitely try to contact him by pm/email as well.

Scott;

No offense but this statement doesn't sound like people will be breaking down your door for this job.

If I lived in the area, I would stop by and see what I could do.

Scott: Off topic but did you see my latest post in THIS thread?

Hi Scott,

I saw your original post, but San Diego's a 4-5hr drive for me so it's not very close. I'm also not available much until April and it sounds like you're trying to get someone in to help out as quickly as possible?

I met a bunch of guys from the LA area at Russound training a couple days ago, but they were mostly A/V, home theater types with no HA or HomeSeer experience.

Hopefully someone will surface that's able to assist...

Paul
