Hi All,

Is there anyone here using a Stargate controller and if so have you had any communication issues. I once had it working OK but since updating to the current release I have not been able to get the communication working. Definitely not cable or port related. Both have not problem with WIN programming software and I downloaded trial version of Homeseer all worked well. No not trying to use the port at the same time. Does anyone have the setup working.


If you capture a log, we can probably figure it out. My guess is something changed in the protocol, possibly something subtle SYS doesn't like.

Go to the Stargate device, do the following.

1) Set the network property to nothing.
2) Set the enable logging property.
3) Set the network property back to the com port the stargate is on.
4) Wait a few seconds, then turn logging back off.

That should give enough of a log to see what's happening. Logs can be found at c:\program files\premise\sys\log. It is a text file, so take a look at it. If you see an error listed, post the relevant bits.
