Hi all, I want to reconnect my ISY but running into some complications and was hoping someone can't help me out. I haven't use my ISY in about one year. I'm trying to download the Admin Console but not sure if this option is still available. When I use the ISY finder, the message Not Found comes...
Does this make sense?
The picture with the two wires is where the keypad goes next to the door. The white wire connects to the door - was able to confirm with the wire tracer.
The yellow wire, I get a faded signal to the wire from the other picture. Thats the wire thats coming out from the 2nd...
Ok so I tried connecting only one wire to the wire tracer. I get multiple signals meaning from different wires. The signal is showing to have distortion meaning not clear. Can that be because wires are running side by side at some point in the wall?
The keypad next to the main door as one wire...
Sounds good. I will try connecting to one. Also, none of the wires are connected to any sensor. The wiring was done when the place was built but no alarm was ever connected.
Thanks for the info. I will try. Hope it works
When I try it on the installed wires I get a weak signal. The only signal I get thats clear is the wire from the main door to the keypad but then dont find it to the panel. I feel like new wires would need to be installed but I would rather not go that route.
Hi all, feeling discouraged. I received my Fluke 3000 today and started the wire finding process. Not sure if I am doing something wrong, but couldnt find any wires. Seems like a very straight forward tool to use so I know its not that. I have two wires that go to my control panel. I connected...
Thanks - will give it a try. I wasnt successful with my first attend. My issue is that I only have 2 wires that go to my control box. I have 2 key pads one motion detector, one patio door and the main door that have a sensor so Im not sure why only 2 wires are going to the panel location. I see...
Hi all, Im trying to instal my M1 in my new home but I am having a hard time identifying each wire. The previous owner had the house wired. I wasnt successful with a wire finder.
My plan now is to connect one wire at a time to the M1 is then walk around the house to test each wire for current...
If I connect the wires on the board and test what area shows open and closed, can I damage the board if zones are connected where the keypad goes or vice versa?
Hi all, I got a wire finder to start my installation but now I’m confused. I believe I found the wire for my motion detector, my main door goes to the keypad, don’t find a wire that goes from the keypad to the main board area. I don’t seem to find where the wire with the yellow jacket located at...
Their is 2 areas for a keypad, one motion detector, patio door, garage door and I’m assuming the main door but don’t see wires at the main door. I just removed the plate that would cover the wiring for the keypad at the main door and see 2 sets of wires. One wire is the same type of wire I see...
