Hey guys,
I'm trying to figure out the wiring of Elks Water Shutoff Valve to my Omni Pro II. There are 4 wire coming off the WSV:
Green (Value Status). When the value is closed this produces 12Vdc output.
Red (Valve Close), says connect to normally closed relay output. When energized with...
Hey guys I'm at the point of terminating all my wiring for my OPII and have some questions about zone types and where to pull 12V power from:
1) In setting up interior door sensors should the zone type be set to Trouble? Or leave it on Aux?
2) Glass breaks - better to pull 12V from Switched 12V...
Thanks. How many of you are using cqc as a front end to HAI/Elk for the flexibility of cqc's UI? Also if anyone is using it for HAI how is the performance of the new tcp/ip driver compared to the udp polling method?

thanks Chris I'll pass that along to the HVAC guy. I wish I understood my HVAC guys wiring better to be able to explain this particular setup. He did try a number of thing yesterday and has everything but the call for humidity working. The only thing I understood him saying was that he wires the...
Hey Ryan thanks for the response. Does this also apply to the humidifier? There isn't a dehumidifer in this home but there are two desert springs humidifiers, one per furnace...
thanks
I have a question about the humidity wiring for the RC2000. My HVAC guy says the Humidity portion of his install won't work with the RC2000 as he installs a separate 24V transformer which essentially has a 2nd common for the Humidifiers so that anytime there is a call for fan the humidifiers...
fyi the terrible squawk made when pressing one of the capacitive buttons can in fact be disabled. Also, the bezel comes in a sexy apple-like white as shown here:
I was about to drill holes in my walls for these when I read the instructions which say not install in a room with ultrasonic sensor. I have ultrasonic sensors in many of the rooms for motion detection. Does anyone have a suggestion of a glass break that will work with an ultrasonic motion...
got it. So does that mean the EOL relay acts like a resistor, therefore the resistor is not required? one more question, the SS4wtab were not available so I went with System Sensor 2012H found here http://www.systemsensor.com/pdf/A05-0238.pdf
They are 4 wire smokes with a built in relay (which...
Thanks Gatchel. I picked up all the equipment to complete this today. I assume even though there is an EOL relay on each zone you still require the EOL resistor correct? From your explanation it sounds like it's the EOL Relay that trips the resistor (so to speak) which closes the circuit and...
How to I get the new user interface on the Snap-Link software? I did check for updates and it did download/install them but I don't see the new UI anywhere...
Thx

Thx for the reply. One reversing relay for all three loops, or one reversing relay per loop? The diagram provided only give a one loop example as shown...
That is by far the worst advertising I have ever seen. Not a single legible shot of what's on the "screen", no explanation of the product or what it does and no specifications. I'd call this thread SPAM and lock it.

I'm about to order my 4 wire smokes and want to make sure I understand the components needed. I'll be using one SS-4WTA-B 4 wire photoelectric with sensor one each floor. Each single smoke detector/sounder will be on it's own zone/loop. This is in addition to the 120V system in the house. The...
This came up in a discussion yesterday so I am turning to the HAI gods for an answer. Can an Omni Pro II detect, or accept, a voltage level as an input? Such as an occupancy sensor that turns on 24V (or less) when occupancy is sensed?
Thanks.
