    Why won't M1XEP work with a mac?

I was just able to log into my Elk M1XEP using my Mac Mini. I poked around and was able to control lighting, read status, etc. Do you have your Elk M1XEP set up using the secured or non-secured port? Regards, Ultrajones

    Elk M1G/ M1XEP connection problems

You mentioned on the HomeSeer message board that you are experiencing packet loss when pinging the Elk M1XEP. Have you tried replacing the cable that connects your Elk M1EXP to your switch? I have seen simliar issues in the past and it turned out to be an incorreclty wired cable. Regards...

Thank you for the replies. I also sent an email to Brultech. I received a reply within an hour! I download the Brultech's EtherBee Configurator and the unit is up and running. I can *finally* start writing software for the ECM-1240 :-) Regards, Ultrajones

    Brultech ECM-1240 Installation

I extended the CT's about 25 feet using 2 cat 5 cables. 1 cat 5 cable (2 pair) is used for the main CT's and the other cat 5 cable (4 pair) is used for AUX input 1-4. Seems to work great after I fixed the wiring issue ;)

    Brultech ECM-1240 Installation

Found the issue! The white and black wires coming from the split-100 CT's are not bundled together, so I ended up wiring them up incorrectly (white wire from one, black wire from the other). I corrected the wiring issue and all manual load tests now pass (including the AUX inputs). Thank you...

    Brultech ECM-1240 Installation

I recently installed a Brultech ECM-1240. While testing the basic installation, I could see an increase of 100 watts on CH 1 when I turned on a lamp connected to the first phase. However, when turning on a lamp on other phase, I don't see an increase or decrease in watts registered on CH 1...

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

Paul, How can I tell if my panel is fed from a 3-phase system? I have one main panel and one 50 amp dedicated to my AC that the power company can cut out during periods of high load. Regards, Ultrajones

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

Hello Paul. Thanks for helping. No, that doesn't seem to have helped the issue. I have the SPLIT-100 CT's connected as described on the top of page 13 in the manual. I have the config for CH 1 set to SPLIT-100, dual CT. Regards, Ultrajones

New Brultech Energy Monitoring Model (ECM-1240) due in 2009

I just finished hooking up my ECM-1240. I have CH 1 connected to my main panel and AUX 1 - 4 connected to various 120 volt breakers. Shouldn't the total watts for AUX 1-4 be less than the watts listed for ch1? See picture. Regards, Ultrajones

I didn't think it would be this hard to connect an Elk siren to the Elk M1G. I will check with Elk to see what they say. Thanks for the replies. Regards, Ultrajones

Elk M1 Gold and ELK-SS30 Siren

Hello All. Can I hook an ELK-SS30 siren directly to output 2 on my Elk M1 Gold? The specs show the ELK-SS30 siren draws 1.1 amps at 13.8vdc, but the Ek M1 ouput 2 is limited to 1 amp. If I can connect it, how is it wired? There are 3 wires on the siren, but only 2 connection for output 2. Do...
