Haiku Faster access to favorite buttons

I figured this was the case and the reason as I mentioned in my original post, it is understandable but not necessary IMO. I can not remember the last time Haiku failed to connect, it has done it, but it is a very rare event if your Omni is accessible over cellular and WiFi. Also preventing the...

Haiku Faster access to favorite buttons

Once Haiku is up and displaying "establishing connection" with the animated spinner it is most definitely into application code and under developer control. There is a very short period of time before that point when iOS is displaying a static png that the developer specifies as the...

Haiku Faster access to favorite buttons

Haiku is nearly perfect for me, however one feature I use constantly is the favorite buttons swipe from the bottom for opening garage doors and controlling certain lights. What I find that consistently keeps occurring is I open Haiku to open my garage door and immediately swipe up to get to the...

    Haiku Camera H.264

Ok, just doing some quick research it seems Apple may have opened up hardware accelerated decode to any video stream since I last tried: http://stackoverflow...656390#10656390 When VLC first came out on the iPhone it was a software only decode and could barely do 320x240 MP4 let alone H.264...

    Haiku Camera H.264

RTSP is not built in to iOS, but there are libraries like Live555 that will compile to iOS so you an get the raw compressed H.264 frames. However unless somethings changed since I last looked, hardware accelerated decode of H.264 cannot be done directly only pointing the iOS AV player to a HTTP...

    Haiku IP Intercom

There are already a few sip phone clients for iOS with background support. I have used iSip and 3cx phone and they seem standards compliant. I am pretty sure the HAI touch screen's intercom is just a sip client. Facetime integration would be cool, but would only work with other Apple devices...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

You've been PM'ed. Serial port already added, nice. The http post solution would def work, although I would think about file system access at some point, and perhaps a dedicated logging mechanism that "just works". I was hoping to hear you say that a web interface was coming. Using...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

I would definitely think about serial support. I would probably right off the bat use this for integration with my Pentair Intellitouch pool automation system to read the pool temp and store in a user value or flag and control hottub etc from Haiku. They have a serial adapter with simple ASCII...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

That's great with the email scripting, much more flexible! Have you thought about exposing or implementing xmlhttp and perhaps the servers serial ports to the scripting engine? This would really allow easier integration with other devices that use serial or http control. Pro-link is so...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

Thanks! With the aux zone setting and changing the message chime Haiku will be perfect for everything I do, you will leave me with nothing to complain about ;) Really though great product all the way around, and better support, updates and feedback than I have had with HAI's own software...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

I figured there might not be any indication of the message beep after the fact. I would argue though that the logical behavior in this case would be to never play a sound after the fact regardless of beep flag. The beep should only occur when the message is initially displayed, not at any time...

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

I have been very pleased with Haiku and the frequency of updates, but on this issue I asked for it back in July on page 9, at least they listened to you ;)

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

Thanks for this one! Any comment on a message chiming with sound upon login especially if shown with "no beep" hours before?

    Haiku HAI and the iPAD

I made mention of the aux zone issue a few times earlier in the thread. This issue is compounded by the fact that it has long been recommend that if you want to show a aux zone then you should make a message for it and show that, now in Haiku for my rain sensor it shows both zone not ready and...

    Hot water tank power saving?

My gas hot water tank has a tempering valve on the output that can be adjusted and mixes some cold water with the hot water allowing higher tank temperatures but lower temperatures at the faucet. This helps prevent the bacteria risks while also prevent scalding risks. They also have the side...

    new tstat from ipod creator

I like the design, but only 1 stage cool/ 2 stage heat, so a no go for me at this point. Looks like it uses power stealing with a rechargeable lithium, I always thought HAI should do a battery like that for their OmniStats to reduce power supply issues. Also much nicer physically and with...

    New RC2000 acting strange

Mine definitely can't go a whole day without this triggering. It's a RS-485 bus for the tstats right? Anything I should look for beside obvious wiring issues? I think my RC80 is branched off from the bus inside the air handler, could the hub-spoke like wiring not play well the bus?

    New RC2000 acting strange

Fred, My controller is a non-flash upgrade-able which I recently swapped the chip out to firmware 3.7. The Omnistat is a 1.04D firmware. I also have a old RC80 on the same bus at address 2. I figured Web-Link polled, I did get a email status with a 0 temp once, so it must poll pretty often...

    New RC2000 acting strange

Just not sure why "every x if tstat current temp = 0" is reading 0 randomly during the day, to me this says the current temp condition in the Omni cannot be relied upon, which would make it useless, am I wrong?
