I did some more looking around and found a system sensor device on the 2nd floor. This is the detector that is going to my panel. The yellow and green are connected as auxiliary and black and red as negative positive.

Ok so tried this and it gave me a fire trouble alert on my keypad. I then tried changing the type to 6 and trouble message went away. The keypad now tells me no zone violation and the system is ready to arm.

When you say you went to a speaker instead, you mean you are using output 1 or your using a speaker in output 2? Wow I really would like to solve this one at least I can start arming my system

I am able to say that I do not have a 4th smoke. My alarm panel is in the basement, the wire that goes to the alarm panel say "smoke 2nd floor", but I do have a smoke in the basement as well that is part of the 3 that's are linked together. Does anyone know if their is a reason or explanation...

Yes it it 120VAC. since the orange wire is used to interconnect all 3 smoke detectors I guess I need to use the option of a 2 wire smoke detector however the alarm cable that comes to the panel has 4 wires. Any suggestions how to connect this?
