Hauppauge has finally released a way to use the secondary A/V inputs on some of the WinTV-PVR cards. I'm not sure when it first came out, but I just noticed it (thanks to www.htpcnews.com).
Many of the WinTV-PVR cards have a white header which has composite, s-video, and audio connections. These show up in many programs but there hasn't been a convenient way to use them. These are in addition to the connectors on the back of the card. With these, you can have two separate A/V inputs connected to your card.
Hauppauge has released a bracket (uses a PCI slot) which has these connectors:
Hauppauge A/V Cable Set
www.pcalchemy.com expects to be carrying them soon, as well.
If you want to make your own, the pinout is available here (from the
www.shspvr.com forum):
