I inherited on Omni IIe when I bought my house in 2015. I did not use it very much before I began replacing it with other home automation solutions. It just never clicked for me - I had to run a VM on my Mac to use the Omni software, I never really figured everything out, it was clearly on its way to not being supported, etc, etc.
It has been unplugged for years, but I know it may be valuable or useful to others!
Does anyone have any advice before I just disconnect everything and put it in a box? Is there anything key I should do to make the system more useful to others?
And, are there any recommendations on how to find a new home for it? I also have a box of parts like switches and thermostats (some new in box) and a bunch of switches and other accessories that I will be pulling out at the same time.
