ELK has announced a new touch screen based keypad, and a new 2-way RF platform for the M1/EZ8 product line.
The 3.5" touchscreen is called 'Navigator', can be customized by installers, and connects directly to the RS-485 databus, meaning it can replace the existing keypads.
The new 2-way RF technology will offer increased reliability, by actually confirming if a command was successfully sent/received, and be more resistant to noise/jamming. Check the press release below for more information.

- Acknowledgment with each transmission so transmission are very short compared to one way systems
- Variable power output so only the power needed to get to the central receiver is used
