Promixis announced a new network-enabled flexible I/O module (PIO-1), allowing you to control devices such as TV's, projectors, home automation gear, relays and more, using a very easy to use ASCII based protocol. The unit sells for $199, and is available now from the Promixis store. Key features:

• 2 Serial outputs
• 4 IR Outputs
• 1 IR Input
• 3 Relays
• 2 bi-directional digital ports
• 8 (up to 13 in custom builds) internal lines with 3 available PWM outputs (expansion boards available)
• Web configuration interface ( default password: cookie, leave user name empty )
