Automated door opener for interior doors

I'd like to automate one of my interior doors, making it easier to get into the laundry room with a laundry basket, or bring groceries upstairs when hands are full.

It's a standard builder grade hollow core interior swing door, made out of wood, and my basement is unfinished, so it's easy for me to run wiring. I would rely on my home automation motion sensors or button to open/close the door. I see some kits on eBay, but not sure how well that would mount on a hollow core interior door, plus they're pricey.

Thoughts? I'm open to other ideas (I guess I could use weights/pulleys and electronic latch, but that's only 1 direction), so bring it on :)
