Be careful updating Elk M1XEP FW to 1.2.2

Decided to update my M1XEP to the latest firmware 1.2.2.
My M1XEP is on its way back to Elk. The Boot firmware updated, then the XEP lost connect and nothing (including an hour on the phone with Elk) would bring it back.

I upgraded mine last night without any problems. But I must say the warnings about keeping a back-up XEP on hand had me treating the whole process like brain surgery. <_<

Something must have glitched! I have updated mine many times without a problem.
