I created some scale drawings in Photoshop to see how the components would lay out. I tried to separate items by function. See the attached gallery for the drawings of Cans 1, 2 and 3. I plan to have all runs for the security system terminated at the 66 blocks and all cat5e for phone and data terminated at the patch panels.
A word about the HVAC. The HVAC thermostats we will be using are the RCS TR60-485 which have a split module design. The wall mount display module sits on the house wall for user interaction and the control module will sit in the mechanical room. The HVAC units we are using ( I don't remember which ones) have out-of-the-box multizone capability and will control individual dampers to the different zones. There will be 5 zones supported by 2 HVAC units. The TR60 will also be controllable through the touchscreens and for automation control.
