Can mControl update Insteon devices?

Hi,

I was wondering if mControl can update Insteon devices like UPStart can update UPB devices. After reading the mControl user manual, I get the impression that it can only control the devices, but can not update them. Am I correct? Are there any software that may be able to update Insteon devices?

As far as I know, it can't, but some of the mControl folks do hang out here, so maybe they can give you a better answer.

I'm sure I can asnwer the question if I understand what you mean by "mControl can update Insteon devices" - can you elaborate?

Not really knowing mControl, I think I can safely say there is no UPStart equivalent for Insteon. INStart as we've been calling is still a dream, hopefully soon to be real.

I was trying to see if mControl can change settings on an Insteon device. For example, if I want to set a bunch of linkages or themes on a devices, I would configure it on mControl and then update a selected Insteon device with those setting.
